Vladimir V. Shapovalov - Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor at the Department of Appleid International Analysis, Dean of the School of International Business, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the MFA of the Russian Federation. For many years has been teaching his own courses: «Country Risks for Transnational Business» and «Financial Regulation of Global Policy».
From 2015 to 2021, Vladimir worked at the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, where he served as the Head of Interaction with Foreign Financial Regulators and was in charge of financial market development, providing Russian economic entities with access to foreign financial services and resources, promoting international settlements in rubles, and working with foreign issuers and investors.
For three years Vladimir headed the state agency for investment attraction — JSC «Ryazan Region Development Corporation», where he was engaged in interaction with local and federal public authorities.
Prior to joining the public sector, Vladimir was Head of Risk Management Department of Deutsche Bank LLC, Vice President of Bank Uralsib PJSC and was a member of the Executive Committee of Renaissance Investment Group LLC, where he was responsible for investment control issues, supervised the activities of divisions responsible for finance, securities operations, audit and regulatory compliance.
